In preparation for the next race meeting the unpainted portions of the tyre barriers which surround the track need to be painted. With thanks to a club member we have been donated some 300 litres of white paint and now we just need your help to do the painting. To that end we are having a tyre painting day on Saturday April 30th starting from 8am and finishing by 4pm. If you can help even for just a couple of hours please come along. We will have a couple of spray guns going but will likely also need people to paint by hand. We will supply paint brushes.
This is an important job that needs to be completed so that the club can maintain it’s licence to run racing under lights. And so to our May race meeting. Assuming that the painting is completed in time and to the satisfaction of the state track inspector we will run the next race meeting on Saturday 28th May.
As many people have complained that there is not enough night racing we have pushed the gate opening time for this race meeting back to 3pm so that all of the racing should be under lights. Expected finish time for racing is around 10pm.
